Trenchless Sewer Repair
With all the tailgates, apple picking, and pumpkin patches, the not-so-fun tasks on your autumn to-do list tend to fall behind. While you may not get to refurbishing those old window shutters, there is one to-do you can’t put off: your pre-winter sewer pipe inspection.
Minor problems now like a small leak or a slow drain can turn into major problems in the freezing Michigan winter. If you have a small leak for example, the colder water in winter causes your pipes to contract, and this contraction often causes leaks to worsen and expand.
No one wants to be dealing with a burst pipe in the middle of winter, so preventing the problems in the fall is key. Take the precautionary measure of examining your pipes with a sewer line camera inspection. An inspection can find:
-Grease build ups. Small amounts of grease can begin to build up in your pipes over winter and can cause a major blockage.
-Tree root infiltration. This is a huge problem for forested areas like Trowbridge Michigan. Tree roots are actually worse in the winter, despite their dormant appearance on the outside. They spend much of their winter searching for water and often find their way to your pipes. If you have the tiniest root in the summer, it can grow to block your pipe completely in the winter.
-Rusting or corroding. If it looks like your pipe is in no condition to make it through the winter, fixing the problem now while it’s still warm will be much more pleasant.
If the camera inspection finds something like corroding or broken pipes, you may be in need of more than just a little drain cleaning. Fortunately, long gone are the days of tearing up your lawn and digging for days- ruining all those last minute fall bonfires and BBQs. At 45th Parallel Plumbing we provide a trenchless sewer repair that takes just a day and saves you an abundance of money.
The process is simple, it all starts with a sewer camera inspection. Once we’ve determined the exact cause of the problem, we find the best way to access it. Maneuvering through a small access hole, we infiltrate the existing pipe and fill it with an Epoxy resin. This resin hardens and forms a new layer on the interior of the pipe. This essentially builds a stronger new pipe within your existing pipe that will last for decades.
With trenchless sewer repair, you don’t have to worry about a huge crew disrupting your lives and leaving you with a huge mess. In the past, the only option was to take out the existing pipe, ruining your landscaping and causing you a huge headache, not to mention a large price tag. Today, with our technology at 45th Parallel Plumbing you will barely notice our team is there at all and you’ll be thrilled with your peace of mind and working pipes.
